What Is Well-Being Coaching?
Who is Coaching For?
Coaching enhances your life experience and well-being. Through accountability, listening, questioning, and guidance, I help you feel empowered to effect meaningful change in your life and take actions towards achieving your goals.
What is Well-Being Coaching?
Well-being coaches take a holistic approach to helping clients live happier and more fulfilled lives. Instead of focusing on one problem, they help clients identify different areas for growth.
As a student of Martin Seligman, the father of modern positive psychology, I use his PERMA model to help my clients design their goals and objectives. The PERMA model lists five elements of well-being: positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and achievement. I include physical health in this list. I explore each of these elements with my clients and help them identify the corresponding objectives, goals, and actions so that they can improve their overall well-being.
How can I benefit from coaching?
I use a number of empirically tested interventions to help my clients succeed. They stem from positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance commitment therapy. These interventions include gratitude journaling, breathing techniques, reframing, values clarification, and mindfulness.
I also provide a well-being assessment before the first session so that my clients have a way to measure their progress once the sessions have concluded.
How do I know if it's right for me?
Coaching is right for you if you…
- value personal development
- are open to new perspectives
- want to make changes in your life
- want a sounding board
- need help balancing your life
- are willing to be challenged
- want to feel more fulfilled in your life
About Me
I help millennials cultivate what’s best within themselves so they can thrive.
I’ve come a long way in my own personal and professional development. Seven years ago, if you had
told me that I would start my own coaching practice, I would have laughed in disbelief. I suffered from
low self-esteem and a crippling fear of failure. Recurring negative thoughts left me with a sense of
hopelessness.
I know that these feelings of unease and self-doubt aren’t unique to me. Millennials are experiencing
stress more than any other generation. The pandemic has only compounded this issue. That’s why I
decided it would be the perfect time to start Coaching by Kendall. As a millennial, I want to help my
peers manage unhelpful thoughts and capitalize on their strengths so that they achieve their goals and
feel fulfilled in all aspects of their lives.
My 3-Step Process is the result of years of studying human development and coaching, personal
experiences, and independent research on well-being. I use the valuable knowledge that I’ve gained
along the way so you don’t have to go through the long and arduous process I did to get to a place of
confidence, self-awareness, and meaning.
Testimonials
Kendall was the first coach I’ve ever seen, so I did not know what to expect, I honestly was a bit nervous. Let me tell you, my expectations were exceeded and then some. Kendall is so warm, easy to talk to, insightful, and helpful. I’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch and I found a lot of clarity and great guidance talking to Kendall. She helped me work through so many different facets of my life and gain more trust in myself and my path. I highly recommend her coaching practice to anyone!
My 3-Step Process
My process, influenced by concepts and theories from positive psychology, adult learning, and mindfulness, helps you overcome challenges by discovering more about yourself, designing value-based goals, and taking positive action.
Discovery
The first step is a pivotal part of the process. I will ask you to respond to several questionnaires and curated character assessments that facilitate self-reflection and provide insight into your motivations, behavior, values, goals, and strengths.
They also provide a benchmark which we will use to measure your progress as we work together. The discovery step strengthens your self-awareness and provides me with information on your unique combination of strengths and skills.
Planning
The planning step is when we translate ideas, dreams, and goals into value-based, actionable items.
I developed my Goal Frameworks and Planners to guide our goal-setting strategy. You will pick the framework that resonates the most with you. We will then identify your vision for the future and the corresponding objectives, goals, and actions needed to accomplish it.
Additionally, I developed a planner to help you integrate mindfulness into your daily routines. Mindfulness allows you to experience the present moment with curiosity and openness. It also helps relieve stress and enhances self-worth, confidence, performance, and overall well-being.
Management
You can monitor your progress and see your growth with my progress tracker. It will also remind you of your unique mix of strengths and skills. I will help you leverage this mix to overcome obstacles in all aspects of your life.
